A Claude Artifact slide you can only screenshot? Turn the picture into editable PowerPoint objects.

If Claude built a slide or one-page layout as an Artifact and all you have is a screenshot, pasting it into PowerPoint gives you a flat picture. Upload the screenshot (PNG, JPG or WebP, one slide per image) and get a slide with real text boxes and shapes. Preview it free first.

A screenshot of a slide built as a web page, rebuilt as slide objects.

We wrote a one-slide page in HTML, the same kind of output a chat assistant produces, opened it in a browser and took a screenshot. We did not use a Claude screenshot, so this is a stand-in for the situation, not an official sample. The left side is the screenshot; the right side is the final PowerPoint file, with outlines marking native text boxes and shapes.

How to edit a slide that only exists as a screenshot

Unraster is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude and Artifacts are Anthropic’s names. Anthropic’s help article “What are artifacts and how do I use them?” says some Artifact types, such as decks, can be exported to PowerPoint; availability can change, so check there first.

  1. Take a clean, full-size screenshot

Open the Artifact, make the slide fill the window, and capture just the slide at the largest size you can. Save it as PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 20 MB. Sharp, large screenshots give better text than small ones.

  2. Upload one slide at a time

Unraster takes one image per slide, no PDFs and no batches. The Basic SVG preview is traced in your browser and never uploaded. Log in to also preview the PowerPoint free, with the editable text and shapes outlined.

  3. Download the PowerPoint

Each account gets one free PowerPoint preview. Downloading that first file is a one-time $2.99 or 2 credits, and every later PowerPoint is 2 credits, with no subscription needed. Only a delivered file is charged.

  4. Proofread, then edit

Read every text box against the screenshot. Check line breaks, fonts and shadows, regroup the card shapes if you want them to move together, then change the text and colours in PowerPoint.

Free to start. Pay only for what you keep.

Advanced SVG uses 1 credit and PowerPoint 2, charged only when you receive the file. Your first PowerPoint preview is free.

Can Claude export the slide to PowerPoint itself?

Anthropic’s help page says some Artifact types, such as decks, have an Export option that includes PowerPoint. If you have that option, try it first. This page is for when all you have is a screenshot or an image, for example from a shared link, a chat you can no longer open, or a layout that only exists as a web page.

Is this an official Claude or Anthropic tool?

No. Unraster is independent and not affiliated with Anthropic. It reads an image and does not connect to your Claude account or see your chats. The example here is a page we built ourselves and screenshotted, not a Claude sample.

Why not paste the screenshot into PowerPoint?

A pasted screenshot is one picture. The words are pixels, so you cannot change a number or a heading, and you cannot move a card. Unraster rebuilds the slide as separate text boxes and shapes.

Will it match the screenshot exactly?

No, and it does not claim to. In this example all the text became editable, but the gradient became a flat tint, shadows were dropped, and the font was replaced by a similar one. Compare the result to your screenshot before you share it.

Can I convert a whole deck of screenshots?

Not in one go. Unraster takes one image per slide and does not do batches. Convert the slides you actually need to change, one at a time.

What does it cost?

The Basic SVG preview is free and runs in your browser. Each account gets one free PowerPoint preview. Downloading that first file is a one-time $2.99 or 2 credits, and every later PowerPoint is 2 credits. No subscription needed. Failed conversions are not charged.
